Causight is a software solution based on a proprietary analysis method and algorithm technology for causality developed by Sony Computer Science Laboratories, Inc. (Sony CSL).
Since correlation and contribution do not distinguish between causality and pseudo-correlation, it requires considerable effort to narrow down the factors that can be intervened using domain knowledge. Using Causight, this activity can be carried out efficiently and effectively in a data- and algorithm-driven manner.
Over the past ten years, at Sony Group affiliates in electronics, finance, and entertainment, Causight has been applied to analysis in manufacturing, design, marketing, and services in a wide range of business fields to demonstrate its effectiveness.
Since 2017, it has been deployed outside Sony by three companies: Dentsu Soken Inc., Koozyt, and Sony CSL. It has also been applied to data analysis at client companies, and has been utilized as an analysis tool. At the same time, R&D activities continue to evolve.
